This mandatory insurance gives you access to the\u00a0<\/span>Aetna Preferred Provider network<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>and its 672 000 doctors, hospitals and other medical centers throughout the United Sates.<\/p>\n

Your insurance will cover you for up to $1,000,000 in case of illness or accident, $100,000 for personal liability, $100,000 for third-party liability, $1,500 for loss or theft of luggage, $20,500 for legal fees, $15,000 for emergency evacuation.<\/p>\n

Some expenses are not covered by CIEE\u2019s insurance (for example: injuries due to high-risk sports, pregnancy, plastic surgery, pre-existing conditions\u2026). As for workplace-related accidents, they are first covered by your employer\u2019s workers\u2019 compensation policy and then complemented by your CIEE insurance.<\/p>\n

As with all U.S. insurance policies, you will have to pay a small portion of your medical bills directly to the physician or hospital. This is called a co-pay. When you seek medical treatment, you will be responsible for this co-pay at the time of your visit.<\/p>\n
